Historical Insight
Construction of the critical pipeline supplying feed and raw materials to the Lorestan Petrochemical Project begins in Asalouye at South Pars. It traverses through several key locations including Noor Abad Mamsani, Mahshahr, Andimeshk, Khorram Abad, and Hamadan, extending up to Mahabad. The pipeline, pivotal for the project's operations, is still under construction, aiming to bolster the region's petrochemical capabilities by 2015.
Products
LLDPE (Linear Low-Density Polyethylene)
Produced through the copolymerization of ethylene and butene-1, LLDPE from Lorestan Petrochemical is tailored for high durability and flexibility. It's extensively used in applications requiring robust, yet pliable materials such as stretch films, agricultural coverings, and heavy-duty sacks. The product's resistance to tears and punctures makes it ideal for packaging solutions that demand high performance under stress.
HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene)
Lorestan's HDPE production focuses on creating a polymer that excels in toughness and chemical resistance. Commonly used in the manufacture of rigid containers, water and gas pipes, and geomembranes, HDPE offers a solution for industries requiring materials that withstand environmental stress and chemical exposure. Its versatility also extends to household goods and food containers, where durability and safety are paramount.
Butene-1
This facility also specializes in the production of Butene-1, primarily used as a comonomer in the synthesis of more flexible polyethylene types like LLDPE. Butene-1 enhances the end products' mechanical properties, making them suitable for a broader range of applications, including pressure pipes and automotive components. Its role is critical in adjusting the balance between rigidity and pliability in polymeric products, optimizing them for specific industry needs.
These products collectively support a wide array of industries, driving innovation in manufacturing and materials science, while also contributing significantly to the regional economy through job creation and technological advancement.
